ADOY
ADOYはソウルを拠点とするシンセベースのインディーポップバンド。メンバーはJuhwan Oh（ボーカル/ギター）、Zee（シンセ/ボーカル）、Dayoung Jeong（ベース/ボーカル）、Geunchang Park（ドラム）。彼らの音楽は、夏、海、波、サーフィン、ビール、タバコ、雑談、青春といったシンプルで直感的なものを思い起こさせるサウンドが特徴。シティポップ、80年代のロマンティックポップ、インディーロック、ドリームポップなどの要素が融合している。
2017年にデビューEP『CATNIP』をリリースして以来、韓国のインディーシーンで注目を集め、複数回にわたり韓国インディーセールスチャートのトップを獲得し、韓国音楽賞でもノミネート。地元のパブやクラブでのツアーから始まり、韓国最大のロックフェスティバルの人気アクトとなった。最近ではアジアやアメリカでのヘッドライナーツアーを完了し、ヨーロッパやオーストラリアなど他の地域でのショーも予定。
ADOYの音楽はシンセサイザーを中心にしたポップサウンドで、聴く者にシンプルで心地よい感覚を与える。様々なジャンルのエッセンスを取り入れたその音楽は、現代のインディーポップシーンに新しい風を吹き込み続けている。

ADOY are a synth-based indie pop band based in Seoul, made up of Juhwan Oh (vocals/guitar), Zee (synths/vocals), Dayoung Jeong (bass/vocals), and Geunchang Park (drums). Their music reminds the listener of simple and intuitive things, like the Summer, the ocean, the waves, surfing, beer, cigarettes, small-talk, youth: the small things that make you smile. In those images are mixed sounds of city-pop, 80’s romantic pop, typical indie rock, and dream pop, among others: ADOY integrates elements from various genres into their synth-based concoctions.
Ever since their debut 2017 EP ‘CATNIP’ garnered attention in the Korean indie scene, topping the Korean indie sales chart multiple times and receiving nominations at the Korean Music Awards, ADOY have been diligent in music production and live performance. They started out touring local hometown pubs and clubs, then quickly became one of the most popular acts for Korea’s biggest rock festivals. Now they have recently completed headline tours in Asia and the U.S., and have scheduled shows in other regions like Europe and Australia.
